Go into all the world....
A message from Pastor Scott:
On Sunday, I challenged our church to make opportunities and take opportunities to share the gospel with those in our sphere of influence that do not know Jesus Christ.  I hope that all of us will not treat this like just another sermon.  There is nothing we can do that is more important than sharing with someone how they can be saved.

So, won't you please join me in the following:

1. Praying every day for at least one person in your sphere of influence, that God would draw them to His Son, and give you opportunities to share the gospel.

2. Be prepared to share the gospel, through living example, reading your Bible, spending time in prayer, and being able to clearly communicate the gospel.

3. Take the opportunities provided and share the gospel.

I know this is not easy for many of us, but it is what God has called us to do.  Therefore, in the coming months, we will be hosting several Personal Evangelism training seminars at the church.  We will give you a simple outline to share, talk more about relational credibility, and participate in some role playing exercises to help us all feel more comfortable.

I am excited about what God has in store for all of us and I will be praying for you.
I received this e-mail message from Mee Lee and wanted to share it with everyone:
I want to share something amazing that happened Wednesday evening.  I am training to hike Mt. Adams or Rainier, whichever we decide, and so I am walking up and down the stairs near Huntington Middle School in Kelso.  As I got close to the top of the stairs after my third time, I saw a young woman sitting there crying.   My first thought was that she needed prayer.  To be positive about what I was about to do, I asked the Lord to help me find the right words to say to this young woman as I walked back down the stairs.  SO, on my way back up, for the fourth time, I stopped and sat down beside her and asked her if she was okay.  She stated that she had just had an argument with her husband and needed a breather.  After a bit of talking, I asked her if I could pray with her and she was absolutely open to it, nodding yes before I even finished my sentence.  So, I prayed with her, asking the Lord to work in her situation.  Afterward, it was just such a wonderful feeling to have been able to pray with a total stranger, and to come away knowing God was going to help her.  I think pastor made it clear, to me anyway, that the places I go and the people I see are not there on accident and that I should be willing to share.  Granted, I didn't stay and talk to her about the gospel, but knowing that a little prayer can go a loooong way.  Praise God for these moments.  Thanks for letting me share.
