A New Building for LVFMC
After years of prayer and discussion, construction started in March of 2007 on a new addition to the
church. The new facility will include offices, classrooms, and a 285 seat sanctuary. God has been good, and we are ahead
of schedule. The cost of the project has been greatly reduced thanks to the volunteer hours put in by so many committed
workers.
May 27, 2008-I have always found it interesting how some of the jobs that are most noticeable take the least amount of work, and the
jobs that are a great deal of work, go almost completely unnoticed. While putting up walls and siding were a great deal of work,
they were completed rather quickly. Now, for the past several weeks the men have been "pulling wire" as they work on all of
the electrical for the new facility. It has been a long process that was finally completed last week. Now, the
PUD has been contacted and asked to supply power to the new facility. On May 26, the building passed inspection and we were
given the okay to cover up the wires with insulation and sheet rock.
Unfortunately, there is not enough money to begin the next
phase of the project. In January, the Society decided to empower the Board of Administration to pursue a loan when there was
not enough money to continue. That day has come. We are currently in the process of filling out loan papers and gathering
information so we can make the best decision for our church. We continue to pray for God's direction and wisdom, and hope that
He will provide in a miraculous way. We are still hopeful that we will be worshipping in our new facility by the end of September.
We covet your prayers and ask you to join us in seeking the Lord.
