Life is so busy that it can be easy to get caught up in our lives and not even notice that we are surrounded by people who need
to experience the love of Jesus Christ from His body, the church. Most of us have no idea the pain and suffering that is going
on around us, in our own community, every day.
We need to know what's going on and seek the Lord's wisdom and guidance about
what we should do about it. So, beginning in June, on the first Sunday of every month we will take time out of the service for
Community Focus. We will have guest speakers, from various organizations in the area, who will let us know exactly what is going
on.
The point is not to guilt you into volunteering, the point is to make us all aware of the needs in our community. We
are the hands and feet of Christ, so we need to do what the Head, Jesus Christ, tells us to do. Whenever we have a speaker,
all we ask is that you pray and ask Jesus how He would have you get involved. Nothing more, and nothing less.
If you know
of an organization that needs to be spotlighted, please contact Pastor Scott or Cindy Helms. You can get more information about
each of these ministries by clicking the links on this page.
